Where the creative-culture work began — Accra’s independent arts and radio scene, before half the map had names.
In Ewe, Kadi means light.I would know. I chose it.
Comics·Animation·Ad tech·Accra
A digital marketer who fronts as a walking encyclopedia of African comics.
“Probably Africa’s greatest expert on its huge comics industry.”
Born in Accra. Kadi is one I chose — partly inspired by the detective L in Death Note, which is the kind of thing I’m willing to admit on my own website.
I’m Ewe. Both my parents come from Trans-Volta Togoland — that long stretch of coast running through eastern Ghana, southern Togo, and Benin, with family ties to Anyako. General Arts at the University of Ghana, Legon. National Service in Tamale.
I started at Meqasa — the Zillow of Africa — intern to marketing executive. That work seeded Noanyi, the consumer-protective real estate platform I’m building now. Today I’m Head of Digital at dentsu Ghana and Acting GM at iProspect Ghana, running programmatic, paid search, and paid social across West Africa.
My creative life started earlier, at accra[dot]alt — the independent arts collective and radio station where I cut my teeth in Accra’s scene. For the better part of a decade since, mostly after hours, I’ve been building infrastructure for African creative culture under one umbrella: Dark Lantern Media. Which is why this site looks the way it does.
